The Hall of Fame Award, AWMA's highest honor, is designed to recognize individuals at both distributor and manufacturer companies who have demonstrated a lifetime of service to AWMA and the industry at the very highest level.  Steve Shing, corporate vice president, sales & marketing at GSC Enterprises, Inc., and James Colucci, recently retired as executive vice president of sales & marketing, at Altadis U.S.A., will be the first recipients of the newly established AWMA Hall of Fame Awards during a special ceremony at the AWMA Show in Las Vegas.

Keynote Speaker: Strategy, Vision, Leadership—Perspectives from an Industry Icon with Drayton McLane, Jr. You won’t want to miss this year’s opening session where industry icon Drayton McLane will discuss his views on the future of the industry and opportunities for distributors in this changing market place.  Drayton McLane, Jr. has been in the grocery wholesale business for his entire career and currently serves as chairman of the McLane Group and is the CEO of the Houston Astros Baseball Club. From 1965 to 1994 while serving as President and CEO of

McLane Company, he added 16 distribution facilities across the US.  During those years, he also served as President of the Texas Wholesale Grocers Association (1970-1971) and Chairman of the National American Wholesale
Grocers Association (1986-1988).  A native Texan, McLane is an acclaimed businessman, leader, and generous
philanthropist.
